All About Gina Smirnov

My introduction to the fashion world started when I was 7 years olds. I spent most of my days after school at my mother's tailor shop or going with her to fittings at clients' homes. I quickly gained an appreciation for all the details that go into creating a garment and how the fit could completely transform any garment. I loved to experiment with sewing by making small pouches or wallets and soon realized how much I loved creating a garment or accessory  from start to finish.

 

After high school I attended FIDM in Los Angeles and got my Associate degree in Fashion Design. My life long dream had always been to move to New York City and attend FIT. After FIDM, I moved to NYC to continue my studies at FIT and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design.

After graduating FIT in New York City, I worked at multiple companies in Manhattan as a fashion designer with a focus on women's sportswear. Now I'm moving to London, and would love to further my fashion career in this exciting city! I will be moving with my fiancé who is originally from the UK and will not require a working visa since I am acquiring one through my fiancé.
